14K Gold Cobalt Enamel Iridescent Flower Pearl Halo Ring Sz 5.25 Vintage Italy. Boasting a lively flower in spectacular, shimmery iridescent red, green and gold enamel, floating in a slightly domed cobalt blue background held by dog tooth prongs, which set it off like a crown. With a halo of pearls, this antique 14 karat yellow gold ring is Magnificent.

Highly detailed, the leaves and flower petals were carefully shaded and lines under the enamel naturalistically suggest veining. The iridescent enamel glows magically and its sheen is wonderfully harmonious with the color of the gold.

The piece is a wearable work of art; much prettier than it looks in my poor photos. Please forgive their distracting shadows, reflections, bright and dark spots, all due to camera distortion and my lack of photography skills. The enameling is incredibly effective: against the contrasting deep cobalt blue, the glistening greens, reds and gold really "Pop" as they appear to catch fire with movement in the play of light and shadow. The ring is not just eye catching, it is absolutely mesmerizing. The halo of 20 genuine pearls surrounding the colorful light show gives it a finished look and frames it like a painting.

The basket setting elevates it from the surface of the finger so it faces up beautifully, has a great profile and looks impressive on the hand. The elegantly elongated oval shape is flattering, appearing to gracefully lengthen the fingers. The combination of textures and materials - the creamy, lustrous pearls, gleaming gold and fiery rich enamel - is luminous and appealing. This regal looking ring will make all your gestures more interesting and captivating.

It measures about 13/16" by about 5/8" by about 3/8 deep or tall, meaning it will rise that far from the surface of your finger. It is a size 5.25 and weighs 6.6 grams. It is signed "14K" and "Italy" inside the shank. The ring is in Very Good vintage condition with just expected irregularities in the natural pearls, surface dirt, scratches and perhaps slight tarnish or patina on the gold. Again, apologies for the annoying reflections, shadows and "hot spots" you see in the photos, which are due to camera distortion only.

This ring belongs equally in collections of Gold, Enamel and Pearl Rings and other Jewelry. Classic and versatile, it will go with everything. It would make a terrific gift, although it is so stunning, I doubt you will want to part with it.
