19th Century Royal Vienna Style Hand Painted Lady & Child Cobalt & Gold Cup & Saucer. Late 19th century porcelain chocolate cup and saucer. Decorated in the Royal Vienna style.
The cup is cobalt and has a hand painted lady in a pink gown with a mandolin and a child framed in gold gilt scrollwork designs. With gold gilt designs along the rim and to the handle. The saucer is cobalt with hand painted flowers in pink, purple, blue, orange and yellow framed in gold gilt scrollwork designs. Marked on the bottom with a pseudo / spurious blue underglaze beehive/shield mark. Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks.
The cup measures approximately 2 7/8 inches wide including the handle x 3 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 4 3/4 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
