CONDITION: Excellent, without defects of any kind. This porcelain tea cup and saucer was produced in France by Haviland & Co. Limoges between 1888 and 1896. The pattern is called "Dammouse".
The saucer has a diameter of 5 1/2 inches. The cup is 2 inches tall with a diameter of 3 5/8 inches. The set is made of fine, translucent porcelain. The cup features 3 ball feet. The ground color shades from light blue to cobalt blue. The factory transfer design of chrysanthemums winds around the cup and the saucer.
The gilded blossoms contrast beautifully against the dark blue ground. The rims are hand gilded with brushed on gilding and there is lacy gold trim around the inside of the cup and center of the saucer. This is a wonderful art nouveau creation.
