The handle, interior, upper and lower rims are all in gold gilt decorations. There is another mark found under the painting as Hictin? , but hard to make sure. The saucer is with gold gilt decorations in floral motifs in the center and the neighboring areas. The raised gilt designs are also observed next to the edges.
Both the cup and saucer have the unsymmetrical shield, or beehive, hallmark in blue color under the glaze. And both have the written number "98", representing possibly as the year number.Measures: Cup, 3" (upper rim diameter) x 4" high (with the handle) x 2 1/8" (base diameter); Saucer, 5" (upper rim diameter) x ¾. Condition: excellent with no chips, cracks or repairs.
