Lovely vintage bone china cup and saucer set made by Aynsley, England. Deep cobalt blue background and gold filigree fleur-de-lis details.

The stunning BAILEY ROSE & POPPY pattern - roses, poppies and cornflowers with varied leaves. Complete with artist facsimile signature J.

Bailey on both cup and saucer design. Virtually mint condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, staining, other damage or restoration on either piece and both pieces pass the ping test. No wear to the floral pattern.

One small surface scratch noticed under strong light on the blue band of the saucer. Cup measures 2 1/4" tall at sides and is 4 3/4" across including handle; saucer is 5 1/2 across. Marked with older Aynsley crown mark in dark green and both pieces having pattern C991 handpainted in black.

Please ignore all white spots on all photos caused by camera flash. This lovely set would make a great addition to your collection. I do try and describe my items accurately. Please remember that my items are vintage and not store-bought-new and some minor wear from age and use should be expected. All items will be packed in bubble wrap and surrounding packing.
