Aynsley Chrysanthemum Butterfly Cobalt Gold Turquoise Teacup Tea cup Saucer

  

VERY RARE Chrysanthemum Butterfly Aynsley Teacup & Saucer Set. This set is very rare and absolutely stunning. The center of the cup is filled with a large chrysanthemum with a butterfly that graces one side of the cup.

The surrounding area of the inside of the cup is gold. Both the cup and saucer have scalloped edges. The set is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. Both pieces ring when tapped.

Cup: The gold on the foot is a little bronzey. There is a raised area under the gold paint on the foot that appears factory. There are two faint outlines on the outside of the cup that look like a waterspot (probably can be removed, but I didnt want to mess with the paint). A few tiny raised bumps under the paint/glaze that appear factory. Saucer: A few very tiny light scratches. On the bottom of the saucer there ae a few rough spots in the glaze (factory).
