Deep Cobalt Blue Handpainted Chinese Porcelain Lamps Pair: Florals W/ Gold. These breathtaking handpainted temple jars feature rich marbleized cobalt blue backgrounds with beautifully detailed and metallic gold highlighted florals in hues of deep rise, sky blue, sea blue, pastel blue with emerald green foliage. Bands of florals firm friezes at the throats and bases of the jars, and the primary floral bouquet is repeated on the two sides of the lamps. Molded ebony black resin forms the plinth bases, and polished brass throat plates top the jars.

Solid brass, not plastic, control knobs underscore the attention to quality detail in the making of this set. We have replaced faulty sockets with new, three-way sockets, allowing variable light intensity when fitted with three-way bulbs. Original cords have been inspected and found to be in excellent condition.

The jars and their fittings exhibit no cracks, chips, nicks or abrasion to the artwork. Brass caps and chrome risers are in very good, vintage condition. Finials are in the form of Chinese symbols in polished brass. Shades are traditional, eight paneled bell, stretched and welted with slubbed raw silk-like fabric in a very soft oyster/ecru tone, lined with white taffeta. They, too, are in very good, well-maintained condition.

Lamp Dimensions: Overall Height, 32.25. Height to tops of sockets, 23. Jars' diameter at waist, 8. Finials (flat), 1.5" wide by 3" tall. All lamps and shades in our curated collection are carefully cleaned and sanitized prior to listing and sale.

Electrical components - plugs, cords and sockets - are tested and examined and replaced if deficient or damaged. Many of our pieces are rare or one of a kind, and cannot be replaced.
