Nippon Raised Gold & White Enamel Butterfly & Leaves Cobalt Chocolate Cup & Saucer Nice antique Japanese porcelain quatrefoil shaped chocolate cup and saucer. Decorated with hand painted raised gold and white enamel leaves and butterfly over a cobalt blue background.

Probably made during the Nippon era of Japanese porcelain, circa 1891 to 1921. Has some wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition. The cup measures approximately 2 5/8 inches wide including the handle x 2 5/8 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 4 1/8 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
