Exquisite Rosenthal plates made for Ovington Bros of New York. Cobalt blue and gold encrusted. Good condition with some minor wear on the gold. The inner gold pinstripe of one plate (plate with'red' mark on back) is worn and barely visible. No visible chips, cracks or utensil marks. These were my mother-in-law's plates. She was married in 1946. I believe these plates were part of her wedding registry. That would explain the differences in the markings on the reverse.

Three plates indicate Ovington's of New York - Chicago. One plate indicates only New York.

Ovington's was going through management transitioning from Ovington Bros. These beautiful plates have not been used since 1980.
